Järjagården’s restaurant

In Järjagården’s restaurant, we create home cooked meals with love from scratch. Here we serve classic dishes with a little extra, to dinners with themes, Christmas tables and three course dinners with a golden touch.

Qualitative and traditional

We care for nature, the local and small scaled. With fantastic ingredients and a strong food culture from ancient hunter and gatherer traditions, we create taste experiences with quality.

Local ingredients

We are always striving to collect as many products as possible on our own, by hunting wild game, fishing, picking berries, mushrooms and by growing our own herbs and salad. We also collaborate with talented and dedicated local suppliers and food producers.

Food and beverages in combination

Our restaurant’s beverages is chosen with great care and consideration for how the flavors complement each other. We have solid knowledge of how to best match food and beverages to create an overall experience. In collaboration with Northern Brewers (Norrlandsbryggarna), we can also offer our very own beers! Specially selected to the food that is served in Järjagården’s restaurant.

Events, conferences, birthdays and meetings

Järjagården is the perfect place to meet in a wild and quiet enviromnent, by still having the same service and quality. For example you can enjoy birthdays, meetings and conferences over a tasty dinner. When making a booking request, you need to be at least 10 persons in the group. Feel free to ask us for a suggested menu.

Customized events

We have the possibility to customize your event to meet your wishes, or to help you find a suitful program. The restaurant have space for 50 people. We have full rights in the restaurant.

There is a ramp via the entrance that makes it easy to get into the restaurant with wheelchair and stroller. In the restaurant there is a toilet that is adapted for people with reduced mobility. Changing tables are available for guests with babies.

Accommodation and dinner

If you are staying the nights at Järjagården, it is possible to pre-book meals in our restaurant, regardless of the numbers of guests.

Friday dinners

It has become a local tradition to meet up with friends over dinner at Järjagården on Fridays. Every Friday we serve a buffet with traditionally home cooked food.

Food from the Swedish Lapland

Järjagården has an emphasis on locally produced food and Swedish meat. On the Friday dinners we often use traditional foods from the Swedish Lapland: such as venison, fish, mushrooms and berries.

Meeting point for a living countryside

The Friday dinners is an important part for us at Järjagården, mostly because we want to care for a living countryside. Järjagården shall be a meeting point, a place where people can meet over a pleasant dinner and socialize.

Meet the locals

If you are a guest that comes from outside the area, you can expect to meet the local people on our Friday dinners. In the same time you will get an insight in the traditions, culture and life on the countryside.

The Friday dinner is served from 17.00 PM. On Fridays we have drop-in and no reservation is required.
Price per person: 140 SEK. Salad, home made bread, dessert and coffee is included in the price.

Flatbread

Järjagården’s flatbread is baked in a traditional way in our stone oven. The flatbread is served in our restaurant and available for sale, as a tasty gift or souvenir.
